Speaking of which, are you still planning on that trip to the states sometime in the near future?

Well at the moment any travel plans postponed as my Wife has just started a new job ( could not bear her old one any longer) so she will not get any leave for about a year.
So, I will be planning on a big trip this time next year. With all the extra work I am getting I should be able to save a goodly amount and take an extended break without too much trouble.
If not, it is only two years until I can "Semi Retire" if I wish.

Well, my Skivick came in. Went and picked it up today. I like it, but I'm sure I'll miss my RAV4 when winter rolls around.

Nice lookin' car, Oldguy. Wish I could say the same about the old guy leanin' up against it... ^^This Interesting that you would pick a coupe after having an SUV. The Civic should be a good car for you, though.

Hey! Eat me!! I know you guys are just jealous of my overpowering handsomeness. ;D And I don't see the rest of you posting your pictures along side your cars, thus subjecting yourselves to ridicule! Perhaps that should be the next new topic!?! "Me and my RIDE". And those of you still riding tricycles should be standing next to the latest one Daddy bought for you.
Anywho, I've had a few chances to run the new Civic without my wife or the salesman with me, and I'm fairly impressed. It is, of course, quite underpowered, but the cornering is very refreshing. It cruises right around 90-degree turns at 30 mph without even slipping. I've pushed it close to its limits on wider, higher-speed corners, and it starts losing adhesion gradually and predictably, front and back equally. No serious understeer or oversteer. With twice the horsepower and rear wheel drive, it'd be a very fun car to drive!

tbh, if you ask me you'll be losing tons of money, not to mention precious cargo space.
The Rav4 is decent on gas for a larger vehicle. It has much better cargo space than a civic.
If you owe $18,000 on it you probably recently purchased it, so you would be losing probably thousands of $$$ by selling it. You'd lose more by selling it than you will EVER make up in saving on gas, except if you drove it for the rest of your life.
Do what you like, but that's what I think.
oops, too late. Congrats on your new car, my cousin recently got the exact same car in white.
