LOL no payment for them.
I think that the mods do a lot of policing themselves, I don't think that a lot of the posts of ours that got modded were flagged, they were just deleted by someone with a vendetta.

Well I haven't been modded all that many times in my time at gf's, maybe 30 or so, but a huge majority of those were flagged by another user, mostly by the same guy.

I just hate the fact that you are never told "hey, the part of your post about the Rabbi and the Prostitute is offensive. You either need to delete and rewrite without that, or I'm going to be forced to delete it and penalize your karma." It's just an outright deletion. And piss on you if you contest it.

They truly need some sort of accountability with the mods. Some things they do warn you about before you post, such as an f-bomb and other banned words if you spell check. But the vast majority of things go un-warned. This is especially annoying when your post gets modded for some obscure, last page of the manual type rule that one moderator knows. The contest system is broken, it'd be nice if you could have an actual conversation with a moderator to counter his points and vice-versa. In the current system, if you reply to a message by the second moderator, it goes to a lead moderator and if it doesn't succeed you lose contest priviledges. You need to be able to reply to the 2nd mod at least once if you see a hole in his argument.
That whole modding system is f***ed up.

What's really gay is that they say you can appeal to a 2nd moderator, but the 2nd moderator ALWAYS uses the "well, the original mod said so, so it must be true" argument.
Perhaps the 2nd mod can't be bothered to type with the 1st mod's balls on his chin...
