That's why I give this topic a necro-BUMP!!!

Let's talk about what you've been doing lately instead of posting. I've been playing Guitar Hero III. What's your excuse?

1. Moving into my new apartment.

2. Getting drunk on my little brother's nasty Heinekens with roughly 2 shots of 90 proof root beer shnapps added to each.

3. Getting settled in my new place. Organizing, cleaning, throwing old crap away, etc.

4. Buying pretty much an entire new kitchen and living room.

5. Filling that kitchen with a couple hundred dollars worth of food.

6. Downing martinis at an astonishing pace, to help ease the pain of spending so much money.

7. Talking to the useless ass union at work, trying to get what's rightfully mine.

8. Drinking some more, to help ease the pain of having to deal with that useless bunch of half-wits.

9. Waiting for people on the boards to chat.

10. Getting tired of waiting, then proceeding to go out and have hawtbuttsecks with everyone-who-hasn't-been-on-in-over-a-week's mom.

Ugh. I hate that song. It seems like just random guitar playing thrown in between a couple riffs. It's not a quality song at all. The only problem I had with that one was getting past Mosh 1. Once I had that, I didn't have any problems with it.

Now, One, on the other hand, took me quite a few tries. I had trouble strumming fast enough on that riff at the end of the song. Once I had it, though, it was in the bag.

That damn Lou is just impossible, though.

message detail Here are some steps to help beating Lou:
1. Play through the first minute and a half
2. When he gets a power-up, if its a double note, restart
3. If it is another power-up, try to avoid it and get your first power-up
4. If your power-up is not a whammy or broken string, restart
5. Wait until the end of your solo and when he starts his consecutive green notes, use you power-up
6. If your broken string does not break the green string, restart
7. If your broken string breaks his green string, or you use your whammy, he is pretty guaranteed that he will fail
8. Celebrate, get the really stupid guitar, and have fun with the Dragon Force song

IIRC, getting the jump before the finish line right is what finally put it over the top for me, after a gazillion tries. I was trying to take it full speed and landing sideways, which slowed me down. I then started slowing just a bit for the jump and landing straight, which carried more speed.
