pneumatic =/= hydraulic. Pneumatic is air pressure. Hydraulic is oil pressure.  Lifting moar= winning. |

The field of pneumatics deals with air pressure. The field of hydraulics deals with fluid pressure. All liquids and gases are fluids. Therefore, pneumatics is hydraulics, but hydraulics is not pneumatics. Easier to pump:  |

i beg to differ. Pneumatics also usually deals with sudden expansion or release of pressure. Hydraulics are usually used for more steady motion. also, Pneumatics deals with a less dense substance, able to be placed under much higher pressure. Ergo, they are two different systems, using the same state of matter, but different substances. easier to lift with than all of em:  |
