amemyarz: Pick out a Budget Rider whenever you want. If you've got one cooking up, go ahead and post it.
I get to pick the WR, eh? I'll post the car later, as I'm not sure what I'm going to pick.

Ok, for the next Weekend Rider, you will be driving....
The Nike One 2022
Seriously, just give this car a try if you haven't. It's power number is kind of modest, but it's got a lot of go under the hood (that is, if it actually has a hood...)

Plymouth Superbird WR
ran it completely stock, TCS at 1, only ran two laps
First Lap: 8'18.191, some major grass adventures
Second Lap: 8'13.502, kept it on the track basically the whole lap occasionally dropping two wheels off

So here am I, grabbing a car that is much more advanced in terms of design than everything I've ever laid my eyes on.
Time to grab that car and take it for a spin.
Nike ONE 2022
At a first glance, everything in the car is, simply put, weird. The driver is laid down, instead of sitting; the rear end of the car is narrower than the front, which is quite unusual; the wheels aren't fixed in the centre, but rather on the bottom. And then... the gearbox: not 4, not 5, not 6, but 8 gears. There's only another car in GT4 that also has 8 gears (Nissan Skyline Coupé GT-8)
Still, that didn't kept me from going to Nur to test it. And if the car was weird when standing still, it sure showed his claws when driven.
Even if the car is narrower in the rear, that has its advantages: you can powerslide more efficiently and have more control of the car, and you can also avoid getting one wheel onto the grass, which on the majority of the cases can cause a spinout. As for the handling? I can truly believe that there are cars that handle worse on racing tires than this car on S2 tires. This car handled so well, it could do about half the corners one gear above the required. The only problem was the gearbox. Since it was a 8 gear one, it was constantly changing gears, and making me lose some time in between shifts. Still, the car has a massive redline, because despite it starts at 7k rpm, the engine only tops out at 8k rpm.
I only did one lap, which was a jaw dropping 7:20:000 (I know). And I mean jaw dropping because I thought that there was no way that this car could do Nur in mid-to-low 7 minutes. If I did a second lap, I would surely enter the low 7s, and if I really applied myself, amybe even hit high 6s.
*looks at the huge text that has written*
For a moment there, I think I impersonated Clarkson...

Looks like I'm not going to get to my own Weekend Rider until late next week at the earliest. I've been busy with school and work and a service project I'm organizing, plus we're having company, which means the TV with my PS2 and wheel on it got disconnected and shoved into a corner to make room for the guests.
I have driven the car on the Ring before and it was tons of fun, as I recall. I don't recall any lap times or anything like that, but I remember the large number of shifts being slightly problematic at times.

Replace the hubless wheels with giant plasti-chrome spinners.

You could definitely put some stickers on that thing. Or duct tape a spoiler on top of the working spoiler.
