My gift is : Dodge Viper GTS '99
Ha ! I bet no one saw that coming !!!
Purchase Price : 78,000 Cr.
Price of Mods : 56,350 Cr.
Total Cost : 134,000 Which is slightly over budget but I am well known for my
generosity at Christmas time, especially with other peoples money!

Gold Rims - Dunlop 004
Port & Polish
Engine Balancing
Weight Reduction Stage 2
Racing Exhaust
Racing Chip
Sports Suspension
Sport Tyres S3's
Triple Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
Final Power = 538 hp

Now a Viper is a Viper is a Viper, so rather than mess with something that is
perfectly okay as is, I only did the following Tuning of the Suspension :
Ride Height : 105 mm
Dampers : Front & Rear set on 2
Camber : Front 2.0 Rear 1.6
I left the Gearbox stock as there is plenty there to haul this Badass around.

I do not want to teach my Grandma to suck eggs but my advice is :
Last minute braking heroics are RIGHT OUT !
KEEP OFF THE GRASS !!
If you do this you will be fine

I would of course liked to have passed on my "Cookie" recipe which has been
handed down for generations but alas it has been pinched and my memory is not
good enough to recall it exactly. Oh well. I have instead a very nice Crayfish (
Rock Lobster ) recipe instead which I will post tomorrow after some sleep.
Catch you all later.
Peace on Earth.

Soul- I made a mistake in my setup notes- the tranmission should be adjusted FD,
AS, then individual gears.
Viper- Sounds like fun! I'll try it out as soon as I get the chance. It looks
like I've got a decent shot at my 24 Hour enduro, so I'm going to give it a go.

Lotus Carlton '90
It can be picked up in used car lot 1, only comes in one color, and is there
quite a bit. I went over budget, hope you don't mind. The mods you'll be buying
are:
FC Transmission
FC Suspension
Weight Redux 1 & 2
Racing Brakes
Turbo Stage 2
R2 Tires
Limited Slip 2 Way
Rays 024 Wheels
Oil Change
FC Transmission: I set the Transmission to Auto 9, but I really don't feel
comfortable tweaking the gears individually.
Limited Slip:
I - 5
A - 20
D - 10
This setup seems to tone down some of the less desirable traits of the Carlton,
but it may not be perfect.
FC Suspension: I actually didn't make any adjustments to this. The "stock"
settings on the FC Susp seem slightly better (at least they do to me) then the
basic suspension. As I'm not all that adept at diagnosing and tuning the
suspension, I didn't mess with it for fear of breaking it.
Enjoy!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
Sidewinder, you'll find in your orange and gold package:
Triumph Spitfire 1500 '74 in Mimosa, with OZ racing 030 rims. The car (with
rims) is 17,700 credits. It comes with a very unique over bite, and not enough
power. Therefore, these modifications were necessary:
Port & Polish: 5,000 cr
Engine Balancing: 10,000 cr
NA tuning stage 2: 11,500 cr
Sports exhaust: 1,500 cr
The gearbox needed some attention too, as the stock gearbox is sluggish and tops
out too soon with the new power. Therefore, I've also added:
FC transmission: 10,000 cr (autoset moved to 9)
Twin plate clutch: 2,500 cr
Lastly, the trademark overbite. The Triumph comes with one of the softest front
ends in the game, and it results in some nasty oversteer on entry. I didn't want
to change this too much, but I did want to ease it:
Semi-racing suspension: 7,000 cr (default settings)
Stage 1 Weight Redux: 1,000 cr
ASM & TCS set to zero
It's not a gift of speed, but of skill and patience. So for tires:
Standard tires: Comfort (N2)
Sidewinder, your Triumph was born of an effort to match the Lotus Elan, and also
to break the 9 minute barrier on N2's. I don't think I accomplished either task.
The Elan has the best grip handling in the game, and this Triumph is a drifter,
with my good laps being around 9'10"
However, that doesn't make it a failure as a car. Since this car is a drifter,
remember to countersteer not with the steering wheel, but by easing off the
throttle, when the back end comes out. Try to limit the back end stepping out by
being patient with your entrance speeds (slow in, fast out).
Once you get the feel for the handling, I think you'll find it very fun to
drive. Good luck resisting the temptation to drive the Yellowbird after that.

I forgot to post the total cost for modifying the Spitfire:
48,500 cr
As for the potluck, I was going to bring sausage balls, but I decided to share
an old family cookie recipe instead:
No Bake Oatmeal Cocoa Cookies
Melt 3 - 4 oz of butter in large skillet
Add about a pound of good quality rolled oats
Stir and mix on medium heat until oats are nicely toasted
Add two of cups of sugar keep mixing until sugar is well mixed and caramalising
In a jug add 2 - 3 tablespoons of Cocoa powder to about a pint of water and mix
well
Gradually add cocoa mix to frypan until everything binds and gets nice and
gloopy and sticky ; check for sweetness and add more sugar to taste
Let cool for a while then spoon out and roll up into small balls on greasproof
paper
Put in fridge. The longer you leave them the better they taste.

Merry St. Ringmas de Deciembre
Your gift: 1969 Chevy Camaro SS in Cortez silver metallic w/ black stripes,
ridin' on PD0211's(Goldies)
Available at the Classic Chevy dealership
Modded with: Race muffler
Supercharger(443hp)
All drivetrain mods
Stock susp.
1.5 L-S
S2's
For the tranny, I had it on auto-set 11 and left the L-S on default settings,
but feel free to tune it to your liking. I left the suspension stock just
because I feel the classics should retain their handling characteristics. This
said, it's a nice little beast to toss around. The S2's let it slide a bit in
corners and the extra power gives it more of a speedboat feeling around the
track, as opposed to the yachtiness of my Superbird. Enjoy!
RR
I enjoyed the Falcon quite a bit. It felt pretty stable through the turns, stuck
to the road really well, not like the McLaren I've been racing with lately, and
allowed for minor mistakes without much consequence. I turned a 6'38 before I
decided I had to work on gift shopping.
WR
I was expecting a litle more from the Zonda. I seemed kinda sluggish at low
speed and didn't have as high a top speed as I had assumed it would. It's
handling in the corners was decent, but felt a bit understeerish. Overall 6/10.

Sidewinder, so you'll have a picture of my car, it's midnight purple metallic,
with Rays 021 rims. I took the liberty of adding a rigidity refresh to the
modfications, and set out. My first lap was a sloppy 7'11 (which I thought
fitting, as it matched your 7'12), but I agree, this car should be faster than
seven minutes.
I love that it kept the stock suspension. It's very soft, which makes for a
fast, loose drive. Keeping the stock suspension is a "secret weapon" in race car
oriented BR's, because it a) saves money and b) is quite fast, if you're a soft
spring driver.
I love the look and feel of my Christmas car, Sidewinderl. I'm going to pay
homage to a great BR, and "poot my foot in my mouth" that it's at least a 6'45
car. Thanks again, have a blessed day.
Peace.

I took my Carlton out for an early morning(it's noon here) lap. My first lap was
an exceptionally clean 7'23.375. I had a minor lawnmower excursion right at the
end, but if I hadn't, I woulda beaten my time with the Ford GT(7'23.173). My
next slower time was a 7'23.733 with the Elise 111R. That's some pretty damn
good performance for it's "sleeper" appearance. I was going for a second lap
constantly switching places with my ghost, but screwed up royally right before
Karussel, so I stopped there. Had to call the tow service to free me from the
mud and get me back to the garage. The upside to that was being able to see
what's on the little side streets. Now, I'm not at liberty to discuss what I
saw, now that the CIA is watching me, but there were some odd shaped flying
mobiles, and strange little human-looking lifeforms that had been horribly
mutated. Oh, wait. That's just the midget hooker from around the corner. What's
she doing in Germany?
Anyway, I'll take my ride out for a few more laps later, after I get all the mud
and grass cleared out of the wheelwells, and repair some of the damage on the
right side. And get this M.H. back to her native hunting grounds. Sorry I
already ****ed up your gift. At least I've got millions to fix it. Or replace
it(but then it wouldn't be as special).

handling in the corners was decent, but felt a bit understeerish.

Date: 12/18/05(or 18/12/05 if you prefer)
Time: 00:28:42
Place: Backdoor of oldguys' house
Shadowy, dark figure is seen peeking in windows, fiddling with doorknobs.
Minutes later, the sound of glass shattering is heard. Shadowy, dark figure
spotted climbing through second floor window.
*Ciscrack, now inside, goes snooping around oldguys' house, looking for room
with vast collection of electronic equipment. Upon locating PS2 and related
accesories, Ciscrack finds rights to next weeks' RR. Ciscrack snatches RR and
calmly saunters out front door, gets in 2002 black Crown Vic, drives off into
the darkness and immediately heads for warmer climates.*
