The Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 is so awesome, it deserves its own thread. I have never in my life driven a car with such great handling. It's so incredibly well balanced and confident, it's an absolute joy to throw at any corner you can find. I just spent the last hour or so lapping the Ring with it in stock form. I actually lost track of time while I was lapping it. It seems like you have to try really hard to unbalance the car to the point where it just feels natural to be taking corners at the car's limit. I found myself tossing it at corners with radical braking points, unorthodox lines, and more speed than I had any business expecting it to handle and it just calmly accepted the input and dealt with it. No drama, no theatrics, no squealing tires. Just results. I could throw superlatives at this thing all night if I wanted to.
173 HP, 7'47 around the Ring. Me like.

Beautiful car, never drove it though. Honestly, the amount of time I've put into gt5 is pitiful. My a-spec level is 13 or 14 :x

i was swearing by this car for the enduros when everyone else was swearing by the elise. itis better on tires, better on fuel, and looks better doing....everything.
with a big assed turbo, it'll compete with cars it has no business competing with. it's ridiculous.
it looks even better in some form of yellow, I promise. it looks STUPID good in yellow.

I just can't bring myself to paint an Alfa Romeo any color other than red though.
I bet it would do the Ring 4 Hr. pretty easily with the turbo, no?

easily isn't exactly the word. flawlessly is more like it. you'll lose time initially, even with the 270+hp from the turbo. but the tire and fuel life mean you'll be stopping 2 laps later than the competiton (on hards) while you're on softs.
and since the AI always fills up on fuel, you can run 1/4 tank, and thusly less weight, all the time.

That might be worth a try next time I have some free time (read: spring break).

it's definitely fun. without the turbo it'd be challenging, but you're a good 10-15 seconds faster than me around the ring anyway nightmare, so i don't see how it would fail for you.
BTW: if you're racing the amuse S2000, you'll need to be able to complete 28 laps within the 4 hours. if you're up against the R8 LMS car, you need to run at least 29. if neither of those are there, you'll need 27 laps.

I don't know about 10-15 seconds, that's a pretty huge gap. When I did the Ring 4 Hr the first time through, I was up against the Amuse S2k and it didn't even take second. The second place car was the Audi TT tuner at 27 laps. Interesting. I wonder if different AI opponents make these races run differently. The first time I did the race, I ran it with the SRT-10 ACR. I mostly just wanted to drive the car around the Ring for 4 hours, I wasn't necessarily looking for a close race

I actually find the ACR surprisingly sluggish round corners. it seems to be a little heavy handed in the turn in dpt.

It tends to be a little bullish, I agree. On Racing Hards, the full-throttle traction problems basically go away and you end up really needing to hit your marks to get around quickly. It can be a handful, definitely.

seems front heavy. once you get turned, it turns steadily and without much drama. but it definitely seems delayed with turning in.
