Ah yes, sorry. Strange......................................but valid ! Tis' only my Shakespearean training coming to the fore. I shall attempt to be more plebeian on the next occasion we conduct verbal interlocutation.
Hmmm, time to go and eat another Dictionary.
BTW , Bro, upshift for Ya.

The thing about moving it here is that there's less traffic from random people who would see it and say "Hey, that looks cool. I think I'll contribute" But there is a growing membership here, so that may not be that big of an issue. Another problem is that some vets that don't hang around a lot anymore might miss the move and think the Ring diary disappeared. That kinda sucks for them. I doubt that we'll end up contacting all of the vets who have participated over its long history, so some would be in the dark about the move. These are my biggest concerns with this. In my experience, moving things like message boards almost always results in people being left behind, some due to missing the move, and some due to not wanting to move. That said, the merits are clear, no fear of unjust deletion being foremost among them. If you wish to move it, as far as I'm concerned, go ahead. I doubt I'll make the move, as GT4 has mostly lost its luster for me. I'll occasionally pick it up and play for a couple weeks, but that's about it.

The GT4 board at GF needs a new sticky. I'm thinking that we could put the new location for the Diaries in there if it ever gets made.

That would be a good idea, but there's a problem: I would be modded for advertising if I ever put something like: "Nur diaries have been moved to this site: gt4fox.proboards100.com" So I don't know how we would work that out...

'If you are interested in the new location of the 'ring dairies please contact me, or another regular of the board.'

Where would we put the Diaries in GTF? I'm leaning towards raec event's for 2 reasons. 1. THe topic couse is -1 2. Nur Diary is pretty big time 3. It's very active
Or in challenges 1.It's a challenge, challenging individuals, not a real event, so to speak? 2.It's sort of a peice by peice thing.

I think it would merit its own category on the home page. It would be nice if those coming to this site to find it would be able to see it immediately, as opposed to having to search for it. The majority of the recent recruits (including myself) came over because it was (pretty much) decided The Diaries would be moving here. Once I got here, I saw that it is a much better site than Gamefags. But if it weren't for The Diaries, I probably would never have even checked it out.

I think Oldguy makes an excellent point.
That would be the best place to position the thread. If everyone who visits, whether looking for the Diary or not, sees it straight away it can only help in keeping it moving along.
I also like Flasawoo's idea about informing people, if it can be done without being modded. Also taking on board what Muse said about keeping a Ghostly Diary ticking over at Gheyfags would be a fair thing to do.
One more thought I have had and would like to share for an opinion from others is - I think managing the Diary in volume form would be something we should keep. It has always been part of its charm that it exists in volumes ( and a bloody lot of them too !! ) rather than an amorphous mega post thread. It would be no trouble to start up a volume every 500 posts. Another advantage of being here is better archiving ? Yes ?
Have had a fair bit of feedback so far from regulars and lurkers . All positive and supportive so far. In light of this I propose we may as well bite the bullet and get the 'Diary running here asap. Yugo if you are happy with the ideas so far I can set up the Thread and transfer the current volume 16 into it.
I would also like to offer all the previous Volumes I have copies of to put into an archive here somewhere.I would also like to offer an extract I made of all the Budget Riders that everyone put effort into with some excellent stories. I like re reading these I am sure others would too.
Okay everyone , final thoughts. Then we get into it. Thanks for listening.

I very much like the idea of having the Ring Diaries as their own separate board. I think the new board should be put under "The Races" category. Inside that board, there would be different topics for the different functions of the Diaries. For example, there could be one topic just for WRs/BRs/RRs, one for random pictures, and another just for socializing and discussing other things.
If this goes into effect, I'd like to see the those topics moderated a little bit for topicality. The Ring Diaries should be preserved for actual discussion, not the random tomfoolery that we get everyplace else on this site. Don't get me wrong, I love the tomfoolery, but there are places for it. Sometimes I think that this site is almost more for shenanigans than for actual GT4 talk, but there I go digressing all over the place.

Such is the nature of seeds. Also, does the blogspot page still exist that had archived past data? Have you heard from Amarynceus?

Vit-G, you've got the OK. I'll make the basic topic, ASAP, and any adjustments you or don or anyone else wants to see, give me a shout.

I think it still exists we can add the link to the first page intro.
Not for along time ! I think if we search "Deviant Art " we might discover a contact for Amar.
Thanks Yugo, Once we are underway things will work themselves out.
Thanks for the input everyone.
Edited - Have started setting up threads should have everything pretty much sorted within a couple of days so please bear with me and hold off posting until I have finished.
Thanks.

I fired an email off to Amarynceus. Hopefully he'll swing by and check it out. What about Onikazi? Should we try to contact him, too? Or do you think he'll just keep badmouthing GT4 because the drift physics don't suit him?

yes, the blogspot is still up. gt4ringdiaries.blogspot.com/also, that Ring Diary intro should be credited to Amar, not me. I've merely been re-using his introduction to all volumes since he's become mostly inactive.
