After a few months of Carbon, I popped in GT4 the other day. The last time I tried playing GT4 after Carbon I did the license tests to refresh. Holy crap, it took me at least a dozen times to pass the first turning test with the del Sol for a BRONZE! Took a few more times to squeeze out a silver. I silvered the next test with the Silvia immediately though (I always sucked at driving front wheel drive). Thankfully, this time I didn't have near the trouble and got my B and A licenses rather quickly (I started a new save file). I love my supercharged Mustang GT. Does very well against the tuners, but you gotta watch them in the turns. Today I raced the tuners at El Capitan. My Mustang torched them on the straight, but that Opera S2000 was on my ass through the turns until we reached the straight again where I left him in the dust. Ended up being a close, yet satisfying win.
Aah, I've played some good racing games, but none can compare to the greatness that is Gran Turismo 4.

I'm just bamboozled as to how you could spend months on carbon. The career mode only lasted a couple hours for me and although the challenge series was good (comparatively), it doesn't really have replayability for me. I've actually played MW more than carbon since I bought carbon. I know I bash on carbon a lot, but that game really pissed me off. I wish I could get back into GT4 again. I'm about to go off to college where I might not even have a TV. And even if I do, there's no way I'm bringing the wheel with me unless my roommate happens to be a GT4 fan also.

I'd take the wheel, but keep it away as much as possible, if the roomy ain't a racing fan.
This is why I'd ideally like to get into a co'ed type thing with this one broad I know whose gonna attempt to head off to the same college (and classes!) that I am. It'll make things easier, methinks.

Well, perhaps I exaggerated a bit. The past couple months have been a combination of Carbon, Hitman: Contracts and True Crime: New York City. Now me, I'm one of those people who can drive around aimlessly for a long time and not get bored with it. Getting in my favorite car and racing around (and maybe causing a little chaos) was one of my favorite things to do in Grand Theft Auto. I'd do the same thing in Carbon. Get in a car, drive around, win a few Free Roam Challenges, get in another car, rinse, repeat.

I still play GT4 from time to time too, mainly because of a tournament I run in. Still a lot of fun.
I also recently found a used copy of GT4 prologue which I had never seen before, so I have been playing through that as well, in between attempts to clear the last Gold I need in GT5P
