I have a feeling many know what minecraft is, but if some of us don't, it's a freebuild block based game that involves gathering resources, building, and even defending your home from attackers at night. Minecraft classic can be played for free in a browser, but it is an early build and pretty basic. Still fun though, and you can save your world to your hard drive. The full game costs around $20 i think, but you get full access to all future versions. www.minecraft.net/Some videos: my personal favorite. all the terrain is game generated: If you have bought minecraft and want to play on a multiplayer server, let me know and I'll post the ip of a server a friend and i have. We've had a consistent save going for about a month now and have some pretty cool stuff.

It looks like a ton of fun if you have a good server full of people. I'd love to try it, but I'm afraid I'll get sucked in, which I can't really afford right now.

Yes, the game is apparently quite dangerous, although I've never really been that sucked in. It's easy to lose hours to this game. If you ever get a chance give it a try, its quite spectacular how addictive such a simple game can be.
