Do you guys have any memorable moments while driving (or riding where there was a near-accident situation? Just yesterday, I had one. I'm still a novice driver, only had my license since April. I was making a left turn at a stop sign onto a busy one lane road. I looked right, saw nothing, and a red light. So i figured, alright, I'm good there. Look left, a lot of cars coming. I see a gap and go for it. dumb move. As I move out a car goes flying right in front of me, I nearly shit my pants. I never checked right again. If I had been going just a little faster, or he had been going slower, I would have had a 100% fault accident on my record, no car, and pissed as hell parents. I'm still mad about what I did, but i chalked it up to the man above. you don't learn without mistakes, just make sure those mistakes dont kill you. I have a pretty heavy guilt with these things, chances are I won't forget that event quickly. Other than this event though, and a couple yellow light dilemmas, I would consider myself the upper section as far as traffic and driving skill in my age group. Any other stories?
