I didn't read the previous page, but on a hunch I'd say you need some shoestring, chewing gum, duct tape and a greasy ham sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.

Very good guess, ckenp. You were but one bottle of motor oil away from being right on the money.
BTW, the Ring Diary photo album has been updated.

WR Report: S2000 V 03'
Well, it's about as quick off the mark as a steam train, and handles just as well as one. The one defining feature of this car is it's ability to make you properly think about how you are driving it. Several times (especially braking after high speed sections) the back end felt like it was going to kick out and I needed to use my m4d skillzorz to keep the sticky side down.
Again, though, I managed a decent lap. The car, even with it's sluggish acceleration, wasn't too fast for me and I managed a clean lap of 8.30.1. Not great, but with this car I have learned why some of my lines were wrong, and why some where right. And I also learned you can brake very late after the D-H straight and not go off.
I could - and would - have got a sub 8 in this but it wasn't quite the fun I was looking for. I learned a lot about the 'Ring though, and I know I don't know every bump and bend yet but I will soon.

No java chat from work mate. But am working on getting a super fast internet at home in the next couple of weeks. But I may decide to buy another guitar instead. We will see.
In the meantime I have developed my own training programme.
Drive FASTER!

Drive Faster: Always a good program.
Anyway, here's Nightmare75's Super Go-Kart Budget Rider
So here's the deal: You are 12-year-old Franklin Wallace Nelson, Jr. You've spent the day at your best friend Jimmy's house. You've had a great day with ol' Jimbo, but there's a problem. Your mom told you to be home by 6:00, but you broke your watch at the beginning of the day. You lost track of time and didn't look at a clock until 5:53. You've got nearly 13 miles of twisty road between you and your house and your mom FLIPS when you are late. You have but one hope to get home on time: Jimmy's Go-Kart.
You've only ever seen this go-kart sitting still, but Jimmy claims it's an absolute rocket. He brags about this thing quite a bit. You don't know exactly what the performance of it is, since Jimmy has been known to stretch the truth. He once claimed that it had over 1000 hp, but you knew that couldn't be true. Your more realistic estimate puts the kart between 200-350 hp, with a supercharger or turbo on it. And one thing was for certain: this go-kart is well under 1000kg. And it looks pretty cool with the wing on the back. It's also got fully customizable racing parts like suspension and transmission and slick tires.
You better hope this thing is as fast as Jimmy claims, because you've got 7 minutes to make it home. If you aren't home in time, your Mom is going to paddle your behind until you squeal like a pig (and likely for a couple swats after that). But for every ten seconds you're early, she gives you a cookie. (She's kind of one of those "mood swing moms." Stay on her good side, mkay?)
Remember, you've only got one shot at this. If you're late, you can't tell your mom, "Sorry, but I got a little off in the Karussel, can I have another go?" You've got one chance to save your behind and get yourself some COOKIES!!!
BTW, required items for this BR are bolded. Good stories are optional, even if you didn't make the time.

Cool. I'll give this a shot tonight, probably. I'm going to go really small, and try to keep the hp to a minimum.
