If I were you, I'd at least call the guy to look at it... who knows, maybe he only had it for 3 motnhs and the old owner babied it... you never know. it's worth a shot. Also, I have NEVER seen a Supra actually being driven. today I just saw an RX-7 for the first time in a while.... Where I live, people are more into the muscle cars.

Right now the best chance I have is a 1981 Accord, stick shift. A girl at my workplace wants to get rid of it, and it will be a good project car, because there is some electrical problems happening. Mechanically it is great, for a 27 year old car that was not pampered at all. I like Honda's <flame shield is now raised> and I think they are fairly decent cars. But that might be because that is what my mom had when I was growing up; she went from a '86 Accord to a '01 Accord. But her former boyfriend from when I was about 7 had a strong love for first generation Camaro's. (drool) I remember he had an official pace car, but I can't remember what for, and a red RS/SS, which I believe was a 68. But his baby was a 1969 Camaro SS. Blue, white stripes FTW.

Stay far away from electrical problems. far away. even if it was a 911, i'd stay away. It may have been a turbo, from the massive rear flares on the thing. I couldn't get his number, the sign was blown off the back window, and was barely holding onto the Whale Tail, as he drove by like an idiot. I'll keep an eye out for it though. Although i doubt, by his driving habits, he'd wait for me to scrounge up the cash, and that's if he doesn't want 15+ grand for it, which, if it's a turbo, he probably would. EDIT: Oh yeah. it was a turbo. the Whale tail, and massive flares, both match this 930 picture: So, it's pretty much a guarantee he wants at least 16 for it.

Yeah, I know how much of a royal pain electrical problems can be, but I believe that this is fairly minor. She says the only problems are in the dash, since the stereo got jacked out of it. Apparently now the turn signal indicators (only in the dash) don't work, and the emergency brake light... basically just some of the idiot lights. It doesn't sound that bad, and since I can talk her down most likely to about a couple hundred bucks, I might have a go.

Oh, if I had the resources, I wouldn't touch a Honda with a thirteen foot pole. As a first car, I would actually prefer my neighbor's 1989 5.0 LX Mustang, which is on sale for waaaaay too much. It still has the engine in it from it's days as a cop car, and it is a damn beast. Either that or the old Type 2 talked about somewhere else in this website. I am just being realistic, that's all. Maybe as a seond car, I can go a little "high class" (for me, anyway) and get something nicer.

Yesterday, I saw an M Coupe, which I've never actually seen in person before.
Today, coming home on the interstate, I saw an NSX. It was a really clean, slick looking black. 80's styling or not, it looked good. Just as I was telling my that it was only the third one I'd ever seen, another one goes by, albeit an ugly white one with a low-key, but still ugly bodykit. I was still liek OMG an NSX!, but this one wasn't as good.
In other news, I'm now all registered and ready to go to NDSU this fall ^__^

w00t.
Some guy has a gloss black NSX not more than 10 minutes from my house. Everyday, i pass it going to school. i looked a little, for a while. then it was just "fuck it" since I'm not a honda guy. If/when i ever come around and he has it running, i may take a closer look, if i can. until then, all i see, is an eyesore.
