G'day mystery Zombie person.
Nice write up. You have certainly captured the essence of the baby Ruf. I agree it should be a 8 min or less car, based on the 30 second rule and the fact I think I can do a sub 7 '30 and amemyarz has achieved this feat.
Now as to the identity of our erstwhile companion ? Based on the writing style and humour, I have narrowed it down to three possibles - Omicronpersei8 Von Jwrebholz
Now that Easter is out of the way I am supposed to hand over the Weekend Rider™, care to take up the baton ? Perhaps a few clues as to Car / Your identity would be fun.

It says he's from Michigan. Isn't MrPin in Michigan? I know Amar is in Oregon. Not sure where those other guys are from. I was just wondering where WanderingMuse is at the other day.

I really can't think of who it might be. The distinctive style in the write-up tells me that I would recognize this poster if I'd known him previously....

Thats right I forgot about Mr. Pinstripes, although I believe he had a functioning DFP last time I heard. Muse is still with us, just not here.

I knew I should have kept that location blank (you sneaky bastard, Ciscrack)...
MrPinstripes I was. Greetings, all. Long time no see. I suppose I could cough up a WR for everyone, though my new GT4 save is a bit short on cars right now (having just restarted a month or so ago). I have an idea and a backup, should my first choice have been run sometime in recent memory.
First clue: This car is *always* mentioned in any "What's the worst-handling car in the game?" threads, regardless of the skill level of the people commenting on it.
As for catch-up stuff, the wife has decided to go to college and get an education (and hopefully, at the end of it, a real job), so I've moved to a new town and into one of the crappiest little apartments I've ever laid eyes on. Married housing is ass. Industrial carpeting and cinder block walls do not a home make. My son is just starting preschool (being three and a half now), and I'm currently unemployed and bored off my ass. The unemployment rate here in Kalamazoo is something ungodly like 21%, so the prospects of finding a decent job are pretty slim. I'm actually considering joining her at college, not because I think I'll ever get a "real" job (I'll certainly never get a haircut), but because I think we could live decently off the financial aid money. Plus I think it'd be fun; get the old brain-muscle working again, and maybe not feel so stupid.
Later, all. I'll post a second WR clue as soon as I can think of one.

Greetings Burnin' Zombie (aka Mr. Pinstripes) welcome back to the fold Worst handling Car - that would narrow it down to something European I believe, perhaps a Clio scratch that I guess an Audi.

Well, it's Friday and I haven't thought of a second clue for the WR, so I'll just give it up and post it. The WR is the:
Alpine A310 1600VE, won from the SC Hall: George V Paris (Easy) event.
And the alternate is (should that one be a repeat):
Lotus Europa Special, won from the Euro Hall: British Lightweight event.
---
I don't have either of those cars yet on my new game, so it might be a few days before I get around to running them. Both should clock in the mid-8:00 range for most drivers on S2 tires. The Alpine is certainly a handful, though...
Later, all.

Welcome back, Mr. P. When you mentioned your pick is known as one of the worst handling cars, I immediately thought of the Alpines. But I couldn't remember what the model number was. The Europa is actually one of my favorite cars to drive, although admittedly a handful on the Ring.
Personally, I would say the Saleen S7 is about the worst handling car. I know some people claim to have setups that make it turn, but I have yet to find one that works for me. I would much rather drive a car that is tail-happy than one that pushes like a dump truck. But that Alpine will certainly be a challenge. I'm going to give it a go, though. Unfortunately, I think I will be rating the lap on how many (or how few, hopefully) times I spins out, as opposed to lap times. I should have some results soon.

G'day all.
I checked my garage and I have an Alpine A310 that I had actually modified slightly to use when I made that vid for you. The A310 vs. A110 lap of the 'Ring.
I have traded it with myself to return it to stock and will be doing a few laps today in between some chores.
Will report back later.

G'day all.
Well first off let me say , after a steady diet of the normal GT4 standard understeer, it was a pleasant change to have a definite oversteerer to play with.It handles fine.
Just a few raw numbers first.
First lap, stock run as a sighting lap - 9 ' 15 . 781 My first target therefore was to break 9 mins.
Second lap with oil change , otherwise stock - 9 ' 02 . 774 Handled very well with all aids on, sure it is tail happy, but very slow and predictable.
Next was a few attempts with all aids off. Even more tail happy obviously, but still pretty predictable. So long as you do not allow the tail to oscillate too much it is fine (You know how the physics of GT4 do not allow for too much correcting of major oversteer without snapping right round and spearing off the track).
So long as you think ahead and anticipate and do things gently, it is fine. A real "Jedis" car. Think your way round.
Best lap - 8 ' 59 . 796 Mission accomplished ( only just ! ).
Fine looking Car as well, will post some photos later.

Well folks, it's been a looooooooong time since i bothered to even open up my GT4 case. I've played the odd time at a friends place, but that's it. My PS2 long ago stopped reading GT4 (I'm talking like...november here)and all the pother dual layereds (including my GoW games!)
However, i picked up a new PS2 today, for all of 80 bucks. After enjoying the first level of GoW2 (that just NEVER gets old) I tossed in NFS HP:2 for a half hour, got reacquainted with the last good racing game to spew from EA under the NFS logo, and then took out the baby. the game I sunk most of last summer into, GT4.
And MAN, do i SUCK! I know what to do, I'm just incapable of doing it. my ring times have gone down by 30 or more seconds, on average. However, in the past 2 hours, I've managed to take the Ford GT 02 concept to a 1:46.7xx on Fuji 2005 (chicaned version). This is still around 3-4 seconds off what i think is possible, but it's better than 1:58.
So I'm back, and rolling on the Ring tomorrow.

Hmm , must get those photos done as promised.
Later.
