I just bought a new one, much quicker With me being in Amsterdam all weekend I haven't had time to get my report sorted, but will do so in the next few days, assuming I can recover sufficiently to feel able to sit in front of a computer for fun My eyes hurt too much lol.

Hi y'all, it's amar from the ol' diaries -- oldguy1957 shot me an email 'bout the new location. In my usual fashion I lagged in both replying and getting around to posting -- made me an account and then forgot about it for a week XD. I blame working two jobs.... I've been kinda itchin' for some long ring laps lately -- I got pulled away from GT by TOCA3 last year and haven't played it more than a handful of times, so I shall no doubt be rusty. The DB9 should be a good ease-in ride to try, though -- I seem to remember it as manoeuverable enough to be interesting, but understeery enough to really force one into proper lines and good throttle control on exit. Probably better for relearning the 'ring than my natural impulse, which would be either the Stratos or an S2000 -- both of which would result in a lot of pinballing. Glad the Diary moved away from gamefaqs!

I've got a nice little Budget Rider cookin' up in this here brain of mine. I'm going to go look and see how many cars qualify before I post it.

Hey Nightmare just read your post in the gheyfags thread and have decided to upshift you for it. Very funny. (Would that be allowed upshifting for something done elsewhere ?).

You can upshift for whatever you want, really.

Doesn't seem to be a new WR for this weekend. The DB9 was for last week end, wasn't it? I've got a pick if y'all want me to go ahead with it. It's actually a dual, WR/RR pick. Should I go for it? If someone else has their heart set on it, go ahead. Otherwise I will.
I've got a review for the DB9, too. I'll post it in the morning. Too tired tonight.

WR: Aston Martin DB9
This is, as mentioned before, a very stylish car that would grab the attention of nearly everyone on the road if it were driving down the street. I'd love to own one in real life. However, for uber high-speed runs on the 'Ring, it's not near the top of the list, for me.
The handling is fairly neutral, and I like the wide torque band. It stops well, and you don't have to worry about it suddenly swapping ends on you without warning. It feels pretty "safe" to drive. But it just doesn't have the fun-factor for me. I much prefer something that feels lighter. The DB9, if anything, tends slightly toward understeer. Again, IRL, at speeds well over 100 MPH, that's probably a GOOD thing. But sitting at home in the safety of my Lazyboy, I want something that's going to step the back end out a little...something that makes my old heart go pitty-patter! "Safe" isn't really a concern to me, as long as it's controllable.
After 3 laps, my fastest time was 7'33.7. There's definitely more there to get. But half an hour was enough time in the driver's seat, for me. It's a very nice car, but not my first choice for fun.
